5 Minute Guacamole Recipe

So I have been bragging about my amazing guacamole recipe non stop on Instagram and got quite a few comments asking that I share on the blog. This recipe is a hands down staple at my house. I used to buy pre-made guacamole but never felt completely satisfied with the flavor. I decided to play around with some different combinations and ended up with this fool proof 5 minute, 5 ingredient version.

Whenever I’m invited to a party or having friends over this is the first recipe I think to make. Last night we had some fellow teacher friends over for a game night and we DEMOLISHED this giant bowl. Everyone asked where I got the guacamole from and I couldn’t help but smile when I told them I had made it myself!

I hope you will all feel inspired to try this delicious, healthy, and quick guacamole recipe.

An important detail that I want to point out is the ripeness level of your avocados. The best guacamole can be made with perfectly ripe avocados. How do you tell? The avocado should be firm but give a little when you squeeze it. The most important clue is the stem. Remove the stem and you should see the inner flesh a nice light green shade. If it is hard to remove it is probably not ripe enough. On the other hand, if it looks brown, it is probably over ripe and may have brown spots inside.

Feel free to add extra lime juice and garlic to taste! Everyone has their own desired level of seasoning so do what is best for you! I love adding garlic because it rounds out the flavors and gives it a little kick.

Also, if you hate chopping veggies you can always buy pre-chopped onions and tomatoes at the store!
