Unique Valentines Day Gift Ideas

I just realized that this will be Andrew and my 7th Valentine’s Day together. Thinking back to our first V-Day I remember Andrew got me a big box of chocolate and we went out on a date to get Chinese food… with Leah! Hahah okay so maybe not the most romantic Valentine’s Day but it is one of my fondest memories because I was celebrating it with the man I already felt strongly would be my husband. (The fact that he would take me and my twin out to dinner and let us share our twin banter was a sure sign).

Now, almost 7 year later we’ve gifted each other chocolate and flowers more times that we know what to do with! Now we love finding unique gifts that break the mold of the typical Valentine’s Day options

So I’ve compiled a few unique Valentine’s Day gifts/experiences you can share with your special someone. Please feel free to comment or email us with questions or suggestions!

1. Conquer a Cookbook

If you have seen my Instagram Stories, you know that Andrew and I absolutely love cooking together. There’s just something magical about creating a meal and sharing it with the person you love. Buy a cookbook and try a new recipe once a week or once a month depending on your lifestyle. These cookbooks are DYNAMITE! Check them out below!

2. Board Game Date Night

Maybe board games remind you of Friday nights as a kid playing Monopoly with your family but Andrew and I love sharing games with each other. Not only are they a chance to set aside your devices and have some undivided time together, but they give you time to be creative and laugh together! Check out some of our favorite 2 player games below.

3. Relive your favorite times together

I am someone that LOVES PICTURES! Seriously there’s just something special about having a snapshot of your life at a particular moment that you can go back to whenever you want! Don’t just let your pictures stay on your phone, get your Valentine one of these cool digital picture frames so you can relive your favorite times together.

4. Get Crafty

If your Valentine is on the crafty side (craft BEER that is) or loves a good drink, try one of these home brewing kits or cocktail sets. There’s nothing like relaxing with a glass and chatting with your special someone.

5. Relaxing Night In

As a busy teacher, sometimes the best date nights are the ones we spend in our PJ’s with a bowl of popcorn between us. Whether your celebrating Galentine’s Day or Valentine’s Day these date-night-in ideas will be perfect!
