CVS Beauty Mark: Beauty Unaltered

We are so excited to be partnering with CVS today to share some of our favorite drugstore beauty items and give you all the inside scoop on CVS’ awesome mission to support beauty without alterations. But the latest and greatest reason we love CVS is because of their dedication to transparency in beauty imagery.

Last year, CVS announced a commitment to create new standards for beauty imagery and introduced the CVS Beauty Mark. You can find this mark on many pictures in CVS, and if you are interested in learning more, watch this video from CVS below:

This mark certifies that the imagery shown hasn’t been materially altered. If you take a walk down the CVS beauty aisle, you will see that the majority of beauty imagery either has the CVS Beauty Mark (meaning they have not been altered) or will be visibly labeled as “digitally altered.”

We are so supportive of CVS’ commitment to supporting unaltered pictures. As young women working in the fashion and beauty industry, it is so easy to set unrealistic expectations of ourselves based on images in magazines, billboards, and on TV without knowing that many of these images have been altered! But we also believe in showing the real, unaltered version of ourselves, and are committing to not altering our photos as well.

Long Lasting Lip Color
