An Unforgettable Minneapolis Day Trip: Cruising in the 2022 Hyundai Tucson
As twins, we are firm believers that “two is better than one.” Two scoops of ice cream tops one
any day. Two days off for a long weekend…yes please! And two besties exploring the Twin
Cities couldn’t be a more perfect combo. So when Hyundai let us drive around their new
Tucson, we felt like we had scored two amazing vehicles all rolled into one! Not only is the
Tucson one of the most stylish compact SUVs we’ve ever seen, it ALSO checks all the boxes
on our technology wishlist.

To really put the Hyundai Tucson to the test, we decided to hit the road and spend the day exploring some of our favorite spots in the Twin Cities. First stop (of course) was coffee so we made a quick trip to Alma Cafe before heading to Bde Maka Ska Beach. Right off the bat, we loved the navigation system and how easy it was to hook up our phones to Apple CarPlay. To put it in perspective, my last car didn’t have any screen inside so to have a full screen navigation guiding our adventure was A-MAZING. Not to mention we felt very inspired to turn up the music on the Bose speaker system and open the double (yes, you heard me right, double) sunroof!
We quickly packed up our beach bags to head to lunch at Bebe Zito, one of our all time favorite burger and ice cream shops. It’s always insanely packed with nowhere to sit so we tested out the Hyundai Tucson’s trunk picnic potential, and it absolutely delivered! The fold-down seats disappeared in one pull of a handle so we could spread out our picnic blanket and sit down to our delicious lunch. We discovered that the Hyundai Tucson has one of the largest cargo capacities for a compact SUV, so if you’re like us, and are constantly moving around bulky boxes or equipment (or full wardrobes), this feature is a game changer! Not to mention it takes literal seconds to reconfigure without feeling like you’re doing brain surgery to put a seat back up.
From there, we made a trip over to The Stone Arch Bridge to take a walk and enjoy the city
view! The Stone Arch Bridge is one of the most popular places on the weekend so we drove
around for a good while trying to find a parking spot. We finally came across the tiniest parallel
space. Testing out the newest features, we used the Tucson’s 360 surround camera to help
guide us into the tight space, and it was a complete success. Goodbye fear of parallel parking!
I could parallel park all day everyday with this feature. The Hyundai Tucson also has remote
parking abilities where you can move your vehicle backwards or forwards from your key fob to
really maneuver tricky spaces.
To finish off our adventuring, we found one of the tallest open roof parking garages where we
could sit back and watch the sunset. At the end of the day, we felt like we were able to do
everything we wanted to do because we had the Hyundai Tucson on our side. Needless to say,
handing the keys back in was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do! We’ve truly never
been so in love with a vehicle before. Not only is the Hyundai Tucson sleek and stylish, but it
has some of the top safety ratings, and the most up to date technology.
