How to Find Brands to Work With as a Blogger
Today I’m so excited to shed some light on a question we get asked all the time: how to find brands to work with as a blogger! Find Brands to Work With: Watch Your Feed
Want to know what brands are looking to partner with bloggers? Just scroll through your feed! When we see a brand we love partnering with a fellow blogger, we take note! Keep a note on your phone to keep track of these brands and bloggers/their stats. Do they have a similar niche or following as you? Then this might be a good brand to reach out to!
You can also use this idea and head to your favorite brand IG page to see who they’re featuring on their feed. Spend about 30 min – 1 hr every week doing your IG homework and search for brands!
Find Brands to Work With: Send an Email
I could write an entire blog post about this topic but for starters your email should contain:
Introduction: Introduce yourself and your brand to the company. Share some of your stats/what makes you unique
Body: Share why you would be a good fit for the brand/what you have to offer them that other bloggers don’t!
Closing: Show excitement to work with the brand and attach your media kit. (post coming soon about this!)
Your email should be no more than a short paragraph. Remember that PR reps are getting hundreds of emails every day! Be short and to the point!
Find Brands to Work With: Use Influencer Marketing Platforms
This is one of the best ways to find brands to work with! These platforms work as intermediaries between influencers and brands. The good part? All brands that use these sites are looking to collab! You don’t have to spend hours sending out dozens of emails every day. Many collabs on these platforms are a simple “click” to apply. A few platforms we use are:
Find Brands to Work With: Use Social Media
When looking for brand contacts social media is a great place to start! Send brands a message on IG, Facebook, or LinkedIn! Oftentimes reaching out this way is much more direct than searching and searching on Google. These social platforms often have phone numbers that you can call to get through to a media contact. Take some time to write down 2-3 sentences you could share with a brand that sounds professional and to the point when making these calls/sending social media inquiries.
Remember that every interaction with a brand no matter how small can be the difference between a YES and a NO. Be polite, positive, and enthusiastic!
We hope you got some good takeaways from this post! As always, we are an open book and are happy to answer comments, DMs, or emails about blogging! Until next week!
